Exploring The Deeper Meaning Of The Cosmos:                                                                                      Deepening Connections Through Fun And Play

In any new group situation, to one degree or another, people are often concerned  with issues of Identity, Connectedness and Power. Identity: Who am I in this group? How will I fit in?  Connectedness: Will I form meaningful relationships with other members of the group? Will I be liked? Power: Will be listened to? Will I have influence on group decisions or direction?

And, of course: Will this experience be gluten-free?

This playful session will subtly address all these issues…and more!  Join Ritch and your fellow Autumn Campers for an evening of non-competitive play, filled with laughter, child-like movement, discovery, mirth and merriment. Help generate an atmosphere of community spirit and celebration while making new friendships and deepening old ones.

Come prepared to have serious fun.

“When we play, we sense no limitations. In fact, when we are playing, we are usually unaware of ourselves. Self-observation goes out the window. We forget all those past lessons of life, forget our potential foolishness, forget ourselves. We immerse ourselves in the act of play. And we become free.” — Lenore Terr in Beyond Love and Work

“We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves, or more deeply engrossed in anything, than when we are at play.” ― Charles E. Schaefer

“Men do not quit playing because they grow old; they grow old because they quit playing.”  ― Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

“Laughter is a holy thing. It is as sacred as music and silence and solemnity, maybe more sacred. Laughter is like a prayer, like a bridge over which creatures tiptoe to meet each other. Laughter is like mercy; it heals. When you can laugh at yourself, you are free.” — Ted Loder, retired Methodist.

“You’re never too old to do goofy stuff.”  — Hugh Beaumont as Ward Cleaver in Leave it to Beaver

Embodied NVC

You’ve studied NVC, or not, and maybe it’s hard to see how it fits in your life, or perhaps your loved ones are resistant to it.  Max will help us learn to embody the principles of NVC without looking we are ‘doing’ NVC.  Max will also be available for question and answer sessions throughout camp.

Amara developed Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy, a method of healing the inner infant-self using cradling, hypnotic induction and suckling to address emotional issues stemming from lack of breast feeding & loving closeness as an infant.  She is the author of “Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy- Healing Our Hearts Together”

Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy – Returning to the infant state, being cradled in loving arms, letting go and trusting…  (Do you get enough of that?)

A version of inner child therapy, this process works with accessing the infant self and memories still stored in our deep subconscious and cellular memory.

By using cradling, hypnotic induction, shamanic journeying, touch, sound and spoken words, we open a direct channel back to that time and those experiences around birth and infancy.  Both men and women can give, and receive.

This intimate healing practice addresses the pain that many of us experienced as infants in our birth traumas, and the lack of enough skin to skin contact and breastfeeding from our mothers after birth.

We will be trading a number of shorter sessions with same gender and opposite gender pairs, so we can experience being both mothered and fathered.

CopperwomanMorrayIMG_5195-300x287    copperwoman

“Open your heart, Let your voice come through, Just the way you do it, Nothing to compare to.” Copperwoman has been gifted in this lifetime to “catch” songs for us—for people who want to sing together to raise the collective vibration in a prayerful way, and for those who might be afraid to sing. She is a keeper of Sacred Space and weaves a thread of harmony from beginning to end, whatever the occasion or gathering. She offers a safe space in which to find your voice and express that which lives within and wants to come out vocally.

Copperwoman has been singing and making up melodic rhymes as long as she can remember. She brings people together to sing in gatherings called “CircleSong” from Santa Cruz to Arcata and has been an integral part of the ritual backbone at the thrice annual Women’s Herbal Symposium in Laytonville. She has several CDs of original “singable” tunes including a CD called Gratitude—songs she wrote during her healing journey with cancer. She is mother of two grown offspring and Grandmother to her daughter’s two beautiful children.

Having visited Peru seven times, Copperwoman carries an energy of pachamama and a certain depth of ancient connected earth culture. Let’s sing!

We all have wisdom to share. When we surrender to the moment and the vibration of the space, each other and the song, we have a chance to contribute lyrics which can be repeated, modified, harmonized with, etc. Eventually the song takes on a life of its own. We LISTEN to each other, we are sensitive, and we co-create magical music.

evalena    Evalena Rose, M.A.

Evalena has been in private practice for 30 years, helping people heal and grow emotionally and spiritually. She has extensively studied alternative healing, body-centered therapies, psychic and spiritual healing, energy balancing, soul retrieval, Tantra, and recovery from incest, abuse, and addictions.

She has channeled the Council of Twelve for 25 years, doing readings with individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs, as well as with groups. She sees clients in Sebastopol, CA and the San Francisco Bay Area and works by telephone with others in several countries and states. Her channeling work continues to be a source of spiritual growth and unfoldment for her and many who see her regularly.

Some individuals work with Evalena first in a therapeutic role to clear issues of childhood and dysfunctional patterns, then move on to channeling for advice and guidance on creating a healthy, fulfilling life, and energetic healing to free the body of the past. Others prefer sessions that include these various modalities in each session.

Evalena has taught seminars for 35 years, including those on sacred intimate relationships, and founded LoveJourney: Tantra of the Heart in 1997, which consists of both workshops and a conscious community developing sex-positive lifestyles. Evalena is a master at creating safe and sacred spaces in which to reclaim sovereignty over our bodies and our lives.

Evalena has a M.A. in Educational Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology and has attended hundreds of post-graduate seminars in a wide range of topics. She is not a licensed therapist, though she has the education of many who are, choosing simply to maintain her freedom to combine healing and therapeutic work in whatever ways are most effective for each person.

Community Puja

Evalena will hold space for and coordinate a puja created by the community.  How does this work?  All campers will be encouraged to submit the narrative for a puja station. Evalena will compile and arrange them into a flow.  As your narrative comes up, Evalena or another assistant will hand you the microphone so you can lead the station while she or they take your place in the puja.  This is your chance to create a puja station for your community to enjoy.

Waking up in Love Together – With “Tribal Technologies” for a New Freer Love

Imagine a global community of people who aspired, conspired and perspired to create a shared and durable mental, spiritual and sensual paradise. All this begins with a new Love Freer from fear.  Because “It takes a village to raise a consciousness, or a relationship” we will dive deep into “What does it take to create a Transparent, Trusting,Touching. Tantric, Tolerant Tribe.”  We will be creating a “Field” of “Weness”, or connection, thru experiencing Kelly’s different “Tribal Technologies” like “Humanizing Hugs”, the “Aloha Kiss”, “Ear on Heart”, “Empower Shower”, “Dance I am”, etc. And then from that Connection flows the Direction of the group.

We will be responding to questions and issues emerging from our collective group field. We will also learn and practice compassionate “Transparency” and clean “Rough Love” to enjoy the hell out of each other, the hell RIGHT out of each other.

“The next Buddha will be a community” says Thich Nhat Han. And community is a state of consciousness, says Sabine Lichtenfels co-founder of the Tamera Community in Portugal. (see Tamera.org)  We will experience how to enter this state and learn principles and tools for deepening this state.

Because we are Social Spiritual beings we can only evolve thru truthful intimate encounters in service to a Sacred Matrix of Life.  We will go spiritually spelunking into the four great love caverns of consciousness – The erotic, spiritual, self and community loves.

We will be drawing from the just released “Terra Nova, Global Revolution and The Healing of Love” – the brand new book by Dieter Duhm, cofounder of the Tamera Community.  We will also draw on Kelly’s 30 years of experience as a certified NVC trainer, his personal work w/Abraham Hicks, Eckhart Tolle, Virginia Satir and Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication, Sabine Lichtenfels and his own Higher Elf.

Jen Siegel – I have attended three Summer Camps (in Oregon), two Autumn Camps (in Sebastopol), and one Winter Camp (in Hawaii)… and I have been truly inspired by what community members can create together. I am amazed by the combination of competence and humility I have witnessed in the various New Culture communities, and especially in the planning team for this Autumn Camp. I can’t wait to see what we create together this year!

Brenda B. – My first New Culture experience was Spring Camp 2010, where  I found my Tribe.  I find transparency, free love and community to be the components of New Culture that most resonate with me.  I’ve enjoyed the journey we as a Core Team have been on this past year.  I love and respect each of my teammates more than words can convey.  I wish the campers of Autumn Camp 2016 the full experience of what we have dreamed will be.

The Core Team wishes to express thanks to our founders and mentors, Kelly Bryson and Evalena Rose. We love and appreciate you.
